Release Notes (Beta)

Version 6.11

New Features

  • Upload Encryption: Files are encrypted on your Mac before they are sent to Object Storage and Protocol Services. Only someone with the right access can decrypt and open them, so uploads stay protected in transit and on the server.
  • Upload Finder Selection: A keyboard shortcut uploads whatever you currently have selected in Finder, so you can share files without reaching for the mouse.
  • Annotation Shortcuts: Annotation tools in the editor now have keyboard shortcuts, so you can switch tools and work faster.
  • Annotation Undo & Redo: Press ⌘Z to undo and ⌘⇧Z to redo in the annotation window - drawn shapes, moves and resizes, crops, background changes, text edits, and more.
  • Arrow as Line: In the arrow tool’s configuration you can turn off the arrowhead to draw a straight line instead.
  • Rectangle Cross: Rectangles can show an optional diagonal cross (corner to corner), handy for marking an area to remove or similar.

Improvements

  • Annotation Arrows: The drag handle at the line or arrow tip is placed on the actual end point, matching the handle at the start.
  • Annotation resize: Rectangle, circle, pixelate, and blur annotations have resize handles on all four corners. If you drag a corner past the image edge, the opposite corner stays put instead of sliding. Corner handles use the horizontal resize cursor.
  • Magnify, pixelate & blur: The live preview updates right away while you move or resize these annotations after placing them, without the noticeable delay from before.
  • Presigned S3 URLs: Path-style presigned URLs for S3-compatible storage are generated and handled correctly again.
  • Screen Recordings: Screen recording no longer crashes when the capture area ends up with invalid dimensions.
  • Upload History: You can drag images out of the menu bar upload history again to drop them elsewhere or reuse them.
  • OneDrive/Box: Signing in to Microsoft OneDrive or Box no longer triggers an unexpected quit.
  • Azure Blob Storage: Uploads to Azure Blob Storage no longer crash the app.
  • Custom API: Custom HTTP headers you configured are now sent with delete requests, matching other API calls.
