• Screen Recordings: Fixing an issue with screen recordings and multiple screens connected to the Mac (wrong screen would be recorded)

• Improved Screen Recordings: The screen recording feature has been improved. It now allows capturing single windows as well as system audio. It results in higher quality video files with comparable file sizes and better performance during recording and converting the video file.
• Restoring Floating Screen Captures: Floating screen captures that have not been uploaded or dismissed will now be restored when relaunching the app.
• Video Previews: Floating screen captures will now preview video (if the capture is a screen recording).
• Video Quality: Video Quality for exported screen recordings can now be configured.
• Connection Chooser: Connections shown in the connection chooser overlay can now be selected in the connection preferences.
• Upload Preferences: In the per-connection upload preferences, the usage of a landing page can now be enabled/disabled.
• Pretty Screenshots: Improved the rendering time for pretty screenshots with large wallpaper images.

• Multipart & Cloudflare R2 - due to an issue with multipart uploads & Cloudflare R2, there now is an option to disable those for custom S3 connections
• S3 Bucket Folders - an issue that prohibited file deletion for S3 connections with a sub-folder in the bucket name from working has been fixed

• Copy Markdown - for images uploaded, a Markdown code for embedding can be copied to clipboard now from the upload history

• Annotate Existing Screenshots - when screenshots are saved locally (see Screenshot preferences), existing uploads can be annotated and re-uploaded
• Copy Existing Screenshots to Clipboard - when screenshots are saved locally (see Screenshot preferences), existing screenshots can be copied to clipboard as image

• Screenshot Annotation Tool Shottr - Shottr can now be used as screenshot annotation tool for Dropshare

• Cloudflare R2 - by adding a new option for Custom S3 connections (Omit ACL Header), Cloudflare R2 is now a supported storage provider (read more)

• GIF Screen Recording - fixed an issue with GIF conversion and thus making it more robust, especially on M1 Macs

• New Image Storage Providers - supporting Flickr, ImgBB and Imgur for image-only uploads.
• Updated Notes UI - refreshed UI for note taking and uploading.
• B2 Credentials - fixed an issue where Backblaze B2 credentials would not be copied cleanly from B2 dashboard.

• Black Menu Bar - as a small gimmick, Dropshare can now turn your menu bar black. Useful for newer MacBook Pro models with notch.
• Universal Share Extension - due to a mistake, the Share Extension was still an Intel binary, and is now universal as well. Sorry about that.

• Universal App - native build for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs now available
• Object Storage Providers - adding support for Minio, Scaleway Object Storage, Alibaba Object Storage, Google Cloud Storage, Linode Object Storage
• WebDAV Connections - adding support for WebDAV protocol servers
• Access Permissions for Google Drive - default access permissions for Google Drive connections can now be configured

• SCP (over SSH) and SFTP - Previous SCP (over SSH) connections have been deprecated and replaced by a modern implementation
  
  

  Starting with this release of Dropshare, you have the choice between SCP (purely SSH) and SFTP connections. Previously created SCP (over SSH) connections are deprecated but will continue to work. We recommend to use the new implementation since it also supports more SSH ciphers.

• Introducing Filebase - starting with this update, Filebase is a supported cloud storage provider.
• Save Screen Recodings locally - "Copy Screenshots to folder" option now also works for screen recordings.

• Introducing optional Dock icon for Dropshare. Enable it in the preferences and drag & drop files and folders onto the Dock icon to upload them.
• Fixed UI issues in the History window in macOS 11.

• Fixed an issue with Google Drive connections. In case you are experiencing issues with uploading to Google Drive, please log in again.

• Reworked menu bar item for better compatability with dynamic backgrounds in macOS Big Sur.
• Updated app icon to comply with Big Sur human interface guidelines.

• Re-introducing Google Drive - starting with this update, Google Drive is a supported cloud storage provider again. Existing Google Drive connections might need to be set up again.
• Introducing FTP/FTPS - since it has been asked for frequently, Dropshare now supports FTP/FTPS connections.
• Big Sur Ready - this release is the first official release compatible with macOS Big Sur.

• This update includes stability improvements and bugfixes and most importantly prepares for Big Sur

• Custom S3-API compliant connections can now be configured with a custom Region field (required e.g. for Scaleway Object Storage)

• Google Drive: Due to an issue that prevents new Google Drive connections from beeing added, we unfortunately had to disable support for new Google Drive connections for the moment

• URL Shorteners: Bit.ly is now a native integration (you can now also select your custom domain with bit.ly)
• Dropbox: Copying the embeddable (raw) URL of a file is now possibile by using "Copy Direct URL" from the upload context menu

• Catalina Ready: Auto Appearance (Dark / Light mode) is now supported

• Catalina Ready: Improving the reliability of detecting the Screen Recording Permission's state

• Catalina Ready: Dropshare is now ready for Catalina (macOS 10.15). Once you upgraded, you might get asked for screen recording permissions in order to capture screen shots with Dropshare (Learn more)
• Screen recordings can now get stopped and uploaded by pressing the selected keyboard shortcut again
• Fixed a crash when clicking the screen capture button in the popup menu

• Fixed an issue with large-file uploads and app crashes: Dropshare is now way more stable and uses less memory when uploading large files (2GB+)
